About Gandhi World Foundation
Gandhi World Foundation is a Non – Political, Non Profitable Charitable and Social Service Organisation , whose basic objective is, to strengthen the arterial root that will help bring about happiness and a change among the people through efforts focused on changes and to spread about seeds through countless awareness programs and activities designed to make the present generation willingly accept Gandhian principles, and activities that would bring about a major change in the society.
The founder of the Trust, M. L. Rajesh, is a social reformer and cultural advocate dedicated to promoting the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi for more than 15 years. He is the Founder of the Gandhi World Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to spreading Gandhian values through education, youth programs, and heritage initiatives.
Under his leadership, the Foundation has executed over 140 public welfare projects across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, benefiting lakhs of students through peace education, rural upliftment, and cultural awareness programs.
Rajesh is also known for curating one of the largest private collections of rare Mahatma Gandhi memorabilia, including stamps, coins, letters, manuscripts, and historical photographs, preserving India’s cultural heritage.
His work has earned appreciation from Former President of India and renowned scientist Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, as well as several senior bureaucrats, governors, scientists, and Consulate General representatives.
In 2023, he addressed the United Nations in Geneva, becoming the 19th Indian to represent the nation at the UN Geneva platform, where he highlighted the role of pure thought, compassion, and non-violence in global harmony.
Rajesh has been honored with the Gandhiya Chemmal Award, multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards, and two honorary doctorates for his contributions to social service and cultural preservation.
He continues to champion youth empowerment, rural development, and value-based education inspired by the universal teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
