About the Festival

Traditional sports are more than just games. they are legacies of physical vitality, mental strength, and social bonding. Unlike many modern sports that focus solely on physical performance, our traditional games offer a holistic experience that nurtures both body and mind while strengthening relationships within families and communities. However, over time, these beautiful games have gradually faded from our playgrounds and memories. It’s time to change that.We are proud to kickstart the revival of our traditional sports — not just as entertainment, but as a cultural and wellness movement. To begin with, the festival will feature four traditional games, with many more to follow in the future. This initiative is part of the "Manuum Marabum" (Our Strength, Our Tradition, supported by the Gandhi World Foundation. We aim to bring back the joy, wisdom, and togetherness that our traditional games once gave us all. Join us at Traditional Sports Meet 2025 to celebrate our heritage, reconnect with our roots, and experience the timeless spirit of traditional play.
